Stom Painters, Inc. is a family-owned painting company with deep roots in Albany, Oregon, proudly serving the Willamette Valley for over 60 years. Our story began in 1961 when Chester Stom, a 20-year U.S. Navy veteran, settled in Albany after his service and started a new chapter–with a paintbrush in hand and a strong work ethic in his heart.

Chester and his son Jim founded Stom Painters with a simple mission: deliver high-quality painting services with honesty, craftsmanship, and care. Using 6–inch block brushes and a commitment to excellence, they built a reputation that still carries weight today.

In 1970, Jim took over the business and guided it through decades of growth and change, adapting to new tools, materials, and industry trends–all while upholding the values his father instilled.

Today, the third generation carries that legacy forward. Tim Stom, who began painting at age 14, officially took over the company in 2023. With deep experience and a modern mindset, Tim continues to grow the business across Albany, Lebanon, and Corvallis, offering expert painting solutions for homeowners, businesses, and historic properties.
